How we work?
Hong Kong Veterinary Specialty Services offers a dedicated in-house surgical referral service for veterinary clinics across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.
Our mobile referral surgical service benefits both the referring clinic and the pet owners. Surgical fees are aimed to be more affordable which allows for pet owners to elect for Specialist options that remain in their budget. And your veterinarian can still take advantage of its premises (consumables, medications, theatre fees, hospitalisation), which will typically cost less than a multidisciplinary hospital.
Whenever a surgery needs an aftercare that is not available at your regular clinic (such as 24/24h monitoring), you can redirect us to the facility of your choice, or you can pick one of the affiliated clinics that we visit on a weekly basis.

1. Reach out for availability

- You will get our fee for the procedure;
- as well as the required setup that is needed for such procedure
- we will need to identify the hosting clinic before giving you the
complete estimate
Send us all the information regarding the patient, yourself and the practice that you would normally be seeing, at hkvetspecialists@outlook.com
3. We will contact a clinic with the requested standards of care in your area
- ideally your own family vet can host the surgery and do the aftercare;
- if not, we know clinics in your area, who agreed to host such surgeries and will be happy to manage your pet in your immediate recovery.
4. We take care of the rest
Our team will provide you with an estimate for our surgery fee, a hospital to perform the procedure and an estimate from the hospital for all the costs (except) the surgery
5. On day of surgery
Our team comes with all the necessary equipment, the staff.
- We charge directly the surgical fees to you at the time of surgery;
- We provide you with a postoperative plan and support you throughout the stay
- The hosting hospital will ask for a separate deposit for its charges.
